What we collect

HappyTrader stores the trade history and account positions you upload (via CSV) or sync (via Schwab), plus basic account info — your username, email, and password (hashed).

What we do with it

We use it to render your dashboards, weekly reviews, and AI insights. We do not sell your data. We do not share your individual trade data with third parties for advertising.

Where it's stored

Your trades live in our analytics warehouse (BigQuery) and our application database (Postgres). Both are hosted on managed cloud providers with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Third-party services

We use a small set of vendors to operate the product:

• Charles Schwab — only if you connect Schwab. We use OAuth so we never see your Schwab password.
• Google Gemini — when you generate AI insights, we send a deterministic summary of your aggregated trading stats (no personal info) to Gemini for narration.
• Sentry — for error monitoring. We strip query strings and sensitive payloads before they leave our servers.
• Render and Google Cloud — hosting our app and warehouse.

What's public

By default, everything you upload is private. The Community feed only shows what you explicitly choose to share. Public profiles only show whatever you've published.

Deleting your data

You can disconnect Schwab, remove uploaded accounts, and delete your account from Settings. If you'd like a full export or deletion of everything, contact us.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes

If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and notify active users by email.
